Oh my God how cute is he??

His name is
Evan and his mom has a blog I found through my new found favorite bloggers' blog, Crazy Aunt Purl.

(I can never remember how I first find blogs--I'm sure I search for something that interests me--maybe this one was knitting--cause I'm STILL trying to learn to knit. Crochet was somewhat easy but knitting is HARD)

His mom sells
yarn & knitting stuff online after she quit her corporate job. How cool is that??

Anyhow, Evan is three months and he has a brain tumor and I'm totally in love with him. His pictures are so cute. Thankfully his tumor isn't life-threatening although it's very rare. 1 in a million. And when they took him to the hospital the doctor on call was a specialist on it. AND he's only on call 4 times A YEAR. Can you imagine?? Only 4 Times in 365 days and one of them is when they were there?

Now who would even think that would be possible??

Can you imagine being one in a million of anything?? Brain tumor, winning the lottery, getting struck by lightening, a hole-in-one?? You can be one in a million lucky or unlucky. It's mind boggling.

If you had no way of knowing the out come (good or bad) would you want to be one in a million??
Would you do it??

Roll the dice??

I would.

Even if...

Melrose Place was my favorite show on Monday nights. I so looked forward to watching each. It seemed like every week something new and crazier was happening. They didn't drag out story lines forever and the characters were over the top. Michael Mancine and Amanda Woodward were the two best known names other than J.R. Ewing and Alxesis Carrington-Colby. God I loved the '90s.

Now that I have DirectTV with SoapNet, I watch it everyday and I love it just as much. I do wish there was something new on, that was similar. I looked forward to Dirt and I like it because it's campy but it's not very good and not getting ratings so I'm sure it won't last long.

The Law&Order franchise rocks but they go out of their way to avoid backstory so that doesn't count. I just really miss night-time soaps.

Send a message to ABC
FIRE ISAIAH WASHINGTON !!!!

To: ABC

On Wednesday, October 11, 2006, People Magazine reported Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey, two stars of the hit show "Grey’s Anatomy" got into a fight. The fight originated from Washington being flustered that co-stars where late to work. Reportedly Washington said an inappropriate comment to T.R Knight, one of the leading actors in Grey’s Anatomy. Mad at Washington’s comment, Dempsey said "Why don’t you pick on someone your own size?" The argument quickly heated and Washington grabbed Dempsey by the throat and yelled "I’m not your little Faggot like T.R Knight". According to sources from the set people were shocked.

On Thursday, October 19, 2006, People Magazine reported that Knight confirmed exclusively to them that he is gay. In his official statement, Knight tells people:

"I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I'd like to quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there, while I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me."

On October 22, 2006, TMZ reported that the scuffle between Washington and Dempsey wasn’t his first fight on a set that got physical. In 2000 Washington was shooting for the show "Soul Food." They were shooting a scene where Washington was supposed to give his wife a "superficial kiss." The crew was shocked when they saw what happened when shooting the scene; Washington gave her a "forceful, aggressive kiss" and the actress was left startled and mad. Washington became angry with her and began to shout at her. The director and executive producer came in to correct Washington on how he is supposed to approach the scene. Washington then turned and began yelling at them. Also in 1997 Washington was on the set of a TV show called "High Incident." He was a guest on the show, but was quickly changed after he and a crew member got into a "physical altercation." The incident was so serious that the police were called.

Many fans became outraged of what Washington said about Knight and the double standard in society of it being ok to discriminate against homosexuals. Soon there were rumors floating around about Washington possibly being replaced for his actions on the set of Grey’s Anatomy. Shonda Rhimes, the creator of Grey’s Anatomy gave this statement:

"I found (those rumors) not only ridiculous but offensive that we would consider replacing a member of our family," Rhimes tells PEOPLE. "And also the (idea) that one black man was interchangeable with another seemed disturbing to me."

After that statement AfterElton.com asked the question "If Knight had called Washington the N-word, wouldn't he be fired?"

Being on a hit TV show is a privilege, not a right. Arguing is one thing but physical violence and discrimination against your co-stars whether their race or sexuality is in a whole different ball park. This has not been the first time Isaiah has had an incident on a set, and if he doesn’t seek anger management it surely will not be his last.

If you want Isaiah Washington off Grey’s Anatomy and replaced by an actor who will actually appreciate being on a successful show sign this petition. Thank you for taking the time out to read this.

Sincerely,
The Undersigned

How HOT is he???

Monday, January 15, 2007

Well Friday I started my 21st year of college!! How sad is that??
It's good in that I keep plodding on...towards my associate's degree in accounting. (I do already have an associate's degree in general studies)
And I did have to take 7 years off when I started at Michigan Bell because I had no seniority and was commuting to Lansing. Even though I've been community for the last 11 years and am now driving 150 miles a day I'm still taking one class. I would have tried to take two but now that I'm nearing the end, it's getting harder to find them available.
It's bad because it's taking sooo long. And I feel like I'll never get to the end of it.

Today my Mom stops over to drop off the key so that I can go get Jade after going to the doctor. I didn't hear her come in then I hear (from a dead sleep) "EQUINOX, there's water all over the basement!!" What?!!!
So I go to the basement, evidently Monday AFTERNOON when I did a load of laundry, (I'm lazy and didn't go put it in the dryer or do another load...well technically I'm sick too) the hose broke and water was running FULL BLAST for probably 18 hours!!

Ugg. 2007 is not going well. Except on the plus side my basement will be VERY, VERY clean.

So far Richard (from Servicemaster) says it will be over $500.
Well Richard left two of those HUGE blowers like Meijer puts in the entryways to dry things out. Luckily the basement isn't carpeted. There are just big pieces and a fake oriental rug in the laundry room. He took all of those with him to clean at the shop. I have to get rid of my cardboard boxes from 7-Up (distributors) that butthead got that I put all my recycling in. That I'm upset about. But I asked him if I could let them dry out and he said no it would mold. He left some boxes so I could go through junk. At least it'll force me to throw things out. What a mess.
The insurance adjustor never did call back today. I have a ton of work to do tomorrow. I should probably call Emmons and see how much a dumpster will cost.
Oh yeah and the doctor says I have nurovirus. I've been off work since last Thursday.

Everyone knows I LOVE M&M's. They've been selling personalized ones on their website for a little bit. I keep getting emails reminding me. Cute but I don't have any reason to order any.

Then I come across this picture on another blog. How funny is this? I don't know if it's a real ad or a photoshopped one, but either way, I think it's hilarious. I like the "poison pill" and "clean out your desk"!! Hee.
